Obituary of Janet Shook
Janet R. Shook, 97, of Scotia died peacefully August 6, 2013 at Ellis Hospital. Born in Buffalo NY on Oct. 10, 1915, her parents were the late James and Lucy Roger. She was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Merrill R. Shook. She is survived by her son James M. Shook of E. Dorset, VT and daughter Patricia S. Misiuk and son-in-law Jozef Misiuk of Lakeland, FL. Janet received degrees from Skidmore College in Saratoga Springs, NY and Union College in Schenectady. She taught in Sharon Springs, Richmondville and Scotia-Glenville High School.
