Obituary of Kayleigh Heinmiller

Kayleigh Heinmiller, 29, passed away peacefully on August 15,2021 at Tampa General Hospital after a courageous battle with Cystic Fibrosis. Born in Troy, NY on February 22, 1992, she was the daughter of Scott and Kimberly (Halloran) Marcella Sr. Kayleigh was raised in Ballston Spa and was a 2010 graduate of Ballston Spa High School. Following high school, she went on to continue her education at Siena College, obtaining a Bachelor’s in Business Management. For the past four years Kayleigh had been employed at the college of St. Rose as the Assistant Director of Human Resources. On July 1, 2017, Kayleigh married her devoted husband, Adam Heinmiller. She enjoyed shopping, photography, decorating, her daily visit to Starbucks, attending concerts with her brother, husband and friends as well as going to Disney. Kayleigh was excited to be close to Disney following her and her husband’s recent move from Loudonville, NY to Apollo Beach, FL.  However, Kayleigh’s greatest joy was the time she was able to spend with her family and friends. She will be fondly remembered for her kindhearted and witty demeanor and will forever be missed.

In addition to her parents Scott and Kimberly (Halloran) Marcella Sr., she is survived by her husband Adam Heinmiller, brother Scott Marcella Jr., maternal grandparents John “Jack” and Darline Halloran Jr. , paternal grandparents Richard and Penny Marcella and Alex Gulum.  Kayleigh is also survived by her mother-in-law Debbie Heinmiller, sister-in-law Kristen Heinmiller, her canine companions Nala and Cassie along with many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

Kayleigh was predeceased by her paternal grandmother Elizabeth Gulum, her father-in-law Joseph Heinmiller, brother-in-law Brian Heinmiller and her husband’s grandparents Harry and Elizabeth Heinmiller and Joseph and Joan Bowers.

Calling hours for Kayleigh will be held on Wednesday, August 25, 2021 from 4-8pm at the Dufresne & Cavanaugh Funeral Home 149 Old Loudon Road, Latham. Funeral services will be on Thursday, August 26, 2021 at 9:30am at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Greenridge Cemetery, Saratoga Springs.
