Obituary of Shelia M. Schultz

Shelia M. (McGraw) Schultz, 79, of Glenville NY, passed away peacefully on August 19, 2021.
Born in Albany, NY she was the daughter of the late John H. and Veronica M. (Prall) McGraw.
Growing up in Albany she enjoyed swimming, volleyball, roller skating and school dances. She
was a graduate of the Vincentian Institute in Albany.

In 1961 she married Raymond “Bud” Schultz Sr. of Colonie, NY.  Together they ran Schultz
Farm and Greenhouses (now Schultz Garden Center) in Glenville NY, while raising their five
children.

Besides running the family business Shelia spent many years as a Den Mother in the
Boy Scout Organization, enjoying arts and crafts, and knitting. She also worked for many years
for the Golub Corporation in their Super Samples Department’s Main Office in Rotterdam.

Christmas was her favorite time of year and she enjoyed spoiling her grandchildren. She loved
the ocean, spending many years at Myrtle Beach, and in her spare time had fun playing the slots
at casinos.

Shelia is predeceased by her husband, Raymond Schultz, Sr, and brothers Robert J. and James D.
McGraw. 

She is survived by her children, Raymond Schultz Jr, Ann Marie (Steve) Martin, James Schultz,
Donald (Kanyanat) Schultz, Mark (Nancy) Schultz and honorary son, Eric Hotopp;
grandchildren, Amanda (Lisa) Guinness, Malachi Martin, Sierra Martin, Matthew Schultz,
Andrew Schultz, Catilina Schultz, Violet Schultz; great-grandchildren, Alexa and Liam
Guinness; siblings, John H. (Sandra) McGraw Jr., Peter McGraw and Mary Kay McGraw. 

Calling hours will be held at the Glenville Funeral Home on Friday, August 27th from 4 to 7 PM at the Glenville Funeral Home, 9 Glenridge Rd. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 AM on Saturday, August 28th at the Church of Immaculate Conception, officiated by Father Jerome Gingras.
