Throughout his life, Donald stayed active. He was proud of his home and took pride in his yard and garden. He loved his home in Scotia, surrounded by the best neighbors and friends.

He loved summering at his camp on Lake St. Catherine in Wells, Vermont with his family. After retiring, he experienced a once in a lifetime journey traveling across the U.S. by train, it was one of his fondest memories. You could often find Donald tinkering around his home or camp or doing crossword puzzles.

Donald didn’t like to spend money on himself, but was very generous to his family and numerous charities. He volunteered for several years for the St. Vincent DePaul Society at St. Joseph’s Church in Scotia.

His family meant everything to him. He is survived by his loving wife, Carmel Parry; son, Michael (Christine) Parry of Gloversville; grandchildren, Marie Parry of St. Albans, VT and David (Hannah) Parry of Boston, MA; great-granddaughter, Ava Murphy; and several nieces and nephews.
