Obituary of "Ted" Murawski
Romuald T. Murawski "Ted", 83, passed away October 1, 2021. He was born in Bromberg, Germany on January 3, 1938, son of Bernhardt and Hedwig (Chyrek) Murawski. The family emigrated to America when Ted was 15.
Ted attended St. Joseph's Academy and graduated Draper High School in 1955. Following that, joined the US Army, stationed in his homeland Germany. Ted was a staff sergeant in microwave and radar technology. He graduated from HVCC with an electronics degree and was employed for 36 years by New York Telephone.
Ted enjoyed multiple sports, especially soccer and gymnastics. Ted himself was an avid golfer and bowler. He learned to ride a unicycle in Germany and proud of this fete.Ted tried to teach his daughters, but to no avail.
Predeceased by his infant son Matthew Peter Murawski, his survivors include his wife of 62 years, Antonia Mastroianni Murawski; his daughters, Victoria Sullivan (late Jerry) and Karen Francisco (David). Three sisters, Gertrude Murawski, Elisabeth Jacobson (Bert) and Irene Viner (Kevin). Ted leaves 3 grandchildren: Caitlin (Jeremy) Hodza, Garrett (Katie) Francisco and Joshua (Courtney Olsen) Francisco. He became the proud great grandpa of Miah Grace Hodza and soon on the way Baby Hodza. Numerous nieces, nephews and cousins; as well as life long friend, Tommy Ackerley.

Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend a memorial Mass of Christian Burial on Tuesday (October 5) at 9:30 AM at St. Anthony's Church, 331 Seward Place, Schenectady with Rev. Richard A. Carlino officiating. A procession will follow to Solomon National Cemetery, Schuylerville, NY.
