I met Kim while walking my dogs. He took a particular liking to Nikita, my husky, and Baxter and Nikita would often lay down in defeat as they listened to hour-long conversations that first began as discussions about dogs to the state of the world. I don’t think there was a subject we hadn’t touched on at one time or another, His cynicism was filled with wit, and his knowledge about virtually any subject was, indeed, humbling. He was a voice of reason. And he always expressed his belief in mankind ultimately doing the right thing. He raved about Janet’s cooking and how lucky he was to have her in his life. His love for his family was never hidden — he shared those feelings openly. I will miss running into him on those walks and hearing his well-supported words of wisdom. I am proud to have called him my friend. My sincerest condolences to his family. You have lost a great husband, father, grandfather…man.
