Obituary of Susan Ann Winters

Susan Ann Winters, 71, of Schenectady passed away on January 3, 2022. She was the daughter of the late James and Dorothy MacCracken. A 1968 graduate from Scotia Glenville High School. 

For many years, Susan worked in the Mont Pleasant City School District as a paraprofessional. In 1992, she married William C. Winters.

Being a Mom and surrounding herself with family was the most important part of her life. Many family memories were made at camp on Fish Creek Pond.

Susan was talented at crocheting and always found crafting projects to work on. If she was not busy creating something beautiful, she was enjoying a book or going out to breakfast or lunch, especially to the Glenville Queen. 

To continue Susan’s legacy is her loving husband, William; cherished sons; Joseph James (Athena) Ladd and Eric Ladd; treasured grandchildren, Jasmine Ladd, Joseph Ladd, Neanna Deloreto, Nicole Deloreto, Quinten Monroe, Christopher Monroe and Jack Monroe; several great-grandchildren; brothers, Thomas MacCracken and Dale (Donna) MacCracken; sisters, Barbara (John) Snyder and Deborah (David) Daniels; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. 

She was predeceased by her sister, MaryAnn MacCracken. 

A calling period will be held at the Glenville Funeral Home, 9 Glenridge Rd. on Tuesday, January 11th from 10 to 11 AM. A Celebration of Life Service will begin at 11 AM followed by procession to Memory Gardens Cemetery in Colonie for burial.
