Obituary of June E. Taplin
June E. Taplin, 88, passed away January 4th, 2022 peacefully at Glendale Nursing Home. June was born on June 9th, 1933 in Mount Vernon, NY to Chauncey and Mildred (Dampman) Boshart. She graduated Salutatorian of Galway High School in 1951. She met the love of her life, Lyndol Alonzo Taplin, while attending Vermont Junior College where she graduated with Medical Laboratory Technology degree in 1954. They married on June 16th, 1956 in Galway, NY. They lived in East Barre, VT for 9 years and had 4 daughters before moving to Charlton, NY and having one son.
June loved being with her family. She enjoyed spending time at their camp that her husband and son built on Mayfield Lake. The family camp is where so many joyful memories were made surrounded by her loving family. June also loved to sing Christian hymns and take care of her garden. She loved the outdoors with all of the beautiful flowers and birds, her favorite flowers were peonies and favorite birds were red cardinals.
June was predeceased by her husband of 43 years, her sister Geri Mikes and her Son-in-Law John Garrow. She is survived by her 5 children: Kathryn Garrow of Jacksonville, FL, Marilyn (John) Howley of Niskayuna, NY, Evelyn Brothers of Peabody, MA, Carolyn (Fred) Bruns of Lincoln University, PA, and David (Mary) Taplin of Charlton, NY. She leaves behind a legacy of 14 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. June was the sister of Geri (Frank) Mikes, John (Melissa) Boshart and Ken (Lynn) Boshart.
Funeral services: Saturday, January 15th, at 10 AM at Glenville Funeral Home, 9 Glenridge Road with Pastor Dwight Moore officiating. Relatives and friends are invited to call on the family Friday, January 14th, from 6 PM to 8 PM at Glenville Funeral Home.
