Randy Lolik

Obituary of Randy Scott Lolik

Randy Scott Lolik, 53, passed away suddenly on January 18, 2022.

Born on May 20, 1968, to his late parents Leo and Ann Marie (Slover) Lolik. A graduate of Notre Dame-Bishop Gibbons, he was raised in Schenectady, NY.

A longtime employee at the Knolls Atomic Power Lab, Randy worked as a Heavy Equipment Operator. Randy enjoyed his work and the people he worked with, but Randy did not live to work…he worked to live. And Randy always looked for thrills!

Ever since a young age, Randy had a love for machines; snowmobiles, jet skis, 4-wheelers, dirt bikes, and motorcycles. For the normal roads, Randy will always be remembered for owning trucks, and only trucks. He was also a talented mechanic, building and repurposing almost anything. Randy always helped others when something needed fixing.

When Randy was a teenager, he met his best friend and future wife, Wendy (Mangione) Lolik. They enjoyed traveling, going for a ride on anything with wheels, or just being together. No matter where they were, on vacation in Mexico or perhaps a snowy road in Tug Hill, New York, Randy always knew someone or made new friends.

Randy’s proudest accomplishment was being a father, and later in life, his heart expanded when he became a grandfather. His legacy continues with two grandsons, who will root for the Raiders football team as their grandpa did.

Randy is reunited with his parents and siblings, Ronald Lolik and Linda Albert.

He is survived by his wife, Wendy Lolik; daughter, Rachel Lolik (David Costello); grandsons, Dexter and Leo Costello; brother, Robert (Cathy) Lolik; father-mother-in-laws, John and Karen Mangione; in-laws, Dawn (Jason) Romano and Jay (Lois) Mangione.
