Obituary of Betty Stinzianni

Betty Jane Stinzianni passed away from this life into Eternal Life on September 9, 2013. Born in 1930, to the late William and Genevieve Pawlowicz Linka. Educated in city schools she was a graduate of Nott Terrace High School.High school is where she met the love of her life, Emilio (Mel) Stinzianni. In 1951 she and Mel were married and she now joins him forever in Heaven.Betty worked as a waitress for Riccitello's and Luigi's Restaurant in Schenectady and at the Office Restaurant in Bellevue. She had been active in the Home Bureau and enjoyed crafts. She is known around Glenville for her beaded and gem stone angels, and Christmas Trees. She was proud of her home and her yard, where you could find her riding on her tractor and working with her vegetables and flowers until her strangth gave away. She was predeceased by her husband Emilio (Mel), her brother-in-law and only sister Irene and Paul Valachovic, her in-laws Guy and Rose Ricci, Rudy and Joan Stinzianni, and Nicholas Stinzianni. Betty is survived by her two grieving children, her beloved son, John Stinzianni and his wife Joanne, and her daughter Deborah and her husband Sam Bratsos. She is also survived by two heart broken grandchildren Emilio (Mel) & Nicholas Stinzianni and her sister-in-law Gloria Stinzianni. She will be remembered by her many nieces and nephews. Betty will be missed but not forgotten by her dear friends with whom she shared over 65 years of stories and adventures. The family will recieve friends at the GLENVILLE FUNERAL HOME on Thursday, September 12 from 6-8 PM. Services begin on Friday 9:15 AM from the Glenville Funeral Home, 9 Glenridge Rd. East Glenville followed at 10 AM by a Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady Queen of Peace Church, 210 Princetown Rd. with Rev. Vincent Ciotoli officiating. Betty will be laid to rest beside her husband Mel at St. John the Baptist Cemetery in Schenectady. Memorial contributions in Betty's name may be made to Community Hospice of Albany, New Karner Rd.
