Obituary of Joyce E. Lyon

Joyce E. Lyon, 84, passed peacefully at her home on March 14, 2022. She was born on August 26, 1937. She married the love of her life Alfred (Al) Lyon on July 10,1955 (Who passed on January 5, 2019). Together they shared a home in Scotia NY for over 60 years.

Joyce spent many years working as a crossing guard for the Glenville Police Department and retired from the Kmart Corporation. She will always be remembered for the love and kindness she gave to others around her.

Survivors include: Her two children Linda Carpenter (Doug) and David Lyon. Six grandchildren: Crystal (Rick), Charlie, Nicole, Daryl, Henry, Frank. 12 Great grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren    

Joyce could bring a smile to anyone’s face and will forever be in our memories.

Funeral services will be private for family. Joyce will be laid to rest at Park Cemetery in Scotia.
