Obituary of Richard W. Douglas

Richard W. Douglas, 83, passed away peacefully on April 2, 2022 at Albany Medical Center after a brief illness. Born in Troy, NY, he was the son of the late Gordon Sheridan and Helen Marie (Johnson) Douglas. Richard was a lifelong area resident and was a graduate of Troy High School. 

He served in the US Air Force, attended Albany Business College and worked for Albany International until his retirement. Richard was an avid baseball fan and enjoyed watching and cheering for the NY Yankees. 

In addition to his parents, Richard was predeceased by his brothers, Gordon Douglas and Jack Douglas. 

He is survived by his wife, Kiyoko; son, Leonard (Gail) Douglas of Burnt Hills, NY; grandson, Ryan Douglas; granddaughter, Amy Douglas; sisters, Helen (Larry) Carroll of Westwood, NJ and  Patricia (Pete) Rozdilsky of Dickson, TX.
