Obituary of Mark H. Bezrutczyk

Mark H. Bezrutczyk, 70, passed away peacefully on June 12, 2022 at St. Johnsville Rehabilitation and Nursing facility. Born on December 17, 1951 to the late Henry and Mary (Juncewicz) Bezrutczyk in Elizabeth, NJ, the family moved to Staten Island. Mark attended Blessed Sacrament Elementary and St. Peter's High School. He joined the Air Force at 17 years of age during the height of the Vietnam War. Mark was enlisted for 20 years, retired as a master sergeant. Stationed around the globe in Security Police, he served as a recruiter for 20 years retiring in Plattsburgh, NY in 1990. The majority of that time was spent training and enforcing rules and regulations with the security police as a services supervisor besides two years as a recruiter. 

Mark was married on February 11, 2007 to Sharon L. Seifert. He enjoyed precious years doing things such as boating, fishing and playing golf. Mark was a P.A.D.I. certified scuba diver and a member of the Iroquois rod and game club.  He was of the Catholic Faith.

Survivors include his wife, Sharon, sons, David, Ronald, Kenneth and Daniel Seifert; Mark Bezrutczyk Jr. and Eric Bezrutczyk; daughter Christy Bezrutczyk. Mark is the beloved brother of Valerie (Paul) Kopp, Arthur (Nina), Matthew (Carolyn), Paul (Elizabeth and John (Yvonne) Bezrutczyk.  He is the cherished grandfather of Amanda and Alana Seifert; Jordan (Justin) Witbeck, Tessa, Daniel and Brendan Seifert. He leaves behind 4 great grandchildren and numerous loved nieces, nephews and cousins.

A prayer service and rite of committal will be held on Wednesday, June 15th at 10:30 AM in the Glenville Funeral Home, 9 Glenridge Rd. Scotia-Glenville.  The Bezrutczyk family will greet visitors from 9AM-10:30AM prior to the celebration of Mark's life.
