Obituary of Michael J. Pisarczyk

Michael J. Pisarczyk, 76, of Glenville and Naples, FL, passed away suddenly at his Glenville home on June 15th, 2022.  Michael was the loving husband of Teresa (Duszak) Pisarczyk and the devoted father of Holli Phillion (Michael) of Reading, MA.  

Michael was born on March 11th, 1946 in Poland to the late Joseph and Aniela Pisarczyk.  He was the oldest of five children: his sisters, Christine (Joe) Obara, Sophia Freiman, and Irena Pisarczyk and his brother, John (Tara) Pisarczyk.  His family immigrated to the United States in 1959 when Michael was 13 years old. He graduated from the Bronx High School of Business in New York City.  Following high school, Michael took apprentice courses and received his plumbing, heating, and ventilation license.  He married his wife, Teresa of 54 years, on November 4th, 1967.  Soon after their marriage, he entered basic training.  Michael served in the Vietnam War and was a proud veteran of the United States Army.  Michael and Teresa settled in Charlton, NY where Michael developed his business.  He was the proud owner of Mike’s Plumbing and Heating and was well known for his work at various local businesses in the area.

Michael was loving, generous, and well known for his entertaining sense of humor.  He especially loved being around his family and hosting gatherings at his home. Michael enjoyed spending time outdoors and loved what nature had to offer.  He took great pride in his home’s appearance and spent countless hours planting, gardening, and watching the birds fly around him. Michael also enjoyed playing cards, boating, and spending time with his family and friends on Sacandaga Lake. He was an avid builder, traveler, and list maker.  Michael will be greatly missed by those who knew him.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, June 23rd at 11am at the Church of the Immaculate Conception, 400 Saratoga Road in Glenville, NY.  All are welcome to attend.  There will be a luncheon to follow to celebrate his life.
