Obituary of James Rowledge

James E. Rowledge, 29, passed away suddenly on October 12th 2013 due to a motorcycle accident in Moriah, NY. James was pursuing his passion of riding with the "boys" of M & S Cycle through the Adirondacks. James was passionate about the outdoors and enjoyed hunting small game. He was a man of a thousand ideas and tremendous dreams. James was practical, humble and would lend a helping hand to anyone in need. He strived to become an apple farmer and live off the land while providing everything his family would need. James was an active member of the Electric City Riders. He not only raced on the TT track but also volunteered his time to meetings and race track preparations. He worked at New Country Porsche of Clifton Park and was working towards his bronze level certification. James attended Hudson Valley Community College and was a 2002 graduate of Burnt Hills Ballston Lake High School. He was proudest of his daughter Lily and considered her his greatest gift. Anyone who knew him, could tell that she was his world. Every decision made was to insure she had the best life and to know she was loved. James left behind a loving and devoted wife, Danielle and a beautiful four year old daughter Lily. He is also survived by his parents, Gerald and Crystal Rowledge, his brother Daniel and wife Patricia Rowledge and their children Crystal and Hunter, his maternal grandparents Kenneth and Bonnie Benson, his father and mother-in-law Michael and Lynn Skorny, his aunt Kathleen Rollins, his uncle Ray Rowledge, and several cousins. James is also survived by many loyal friends, who family can't thank enough, for the place they held him in their hearts. A wake will be held at Glenville Furneral Home , 9 Glenridge Rd., Glenville NY. Calling hours will be 4:00 to 7:00 pm. on Thursday October 17, 2013. In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to 1st National Bank of Scotia at 240 Saratoga Road, Glenville, please ask for the "Lily's Fund".
