Obituary of Carol J. D’Amico

Carol J. D’Amico, 88, passed away peacefully on September 9, 2022 at her home surrounded by her family. She was the daughter of the late William and Norma (Vanzandt) Darling. Carol was a graduate of St. Ann’s Academy in Albany and has been a resident of Rotterdam her entire life. She was a communicant of St. Gabriel’s Roman Catholic Church in Rotterdam, a member of the Republican Club of Rotterdam and was Assistant County Vice Chairman for the Republican Party. Carol retired from G.E in Schenectady in April of 1987 after 23 years as Supervisor in Telecommunications.

Carol was predeceased by her loving husband Louis C. D’Amico who she married on October 21,1956. She also was predeceased by her sister Marlene Hock.

She is survived by several cherished nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10am on September 14, 2022 at St. Gabriel’s Church in Rotterdam. Burial will be in St. Cyril & Method Cemetery. There will be no calling hours.

Memorial contributions in Carol’s name may be made to St. Gabriel’s church Memorial Fund, 2040 Hamburg Street Rotterdam, NY 12303. Arrangements have been entrusted to Glenville Funeral Home, 9 Glenridge Road, Glenville, NY 12302.
