Obituary of Isabelle Lupe

ISABELLE M. LUPE Nee: Pandori, 89, passed away on October 15, 2013 at Saratoga Hospital, her family at her side. Born in Schenectady on November 28, 1923, she was the daughter of the late Roberto and Michelina Pandori. A lifelong resident, she moved to Ballston Lake in 1973. Isabelle was married on March 1, 1946 to Orlando R. Lupe in a ceremony held at St. Anthony's Church. A 1942 graduate of the former Nott Terrace High School she raised her family before pursuing a career with the NYS Department of Insurance, a position she held until retiring in the 1990's. Isabelle was a faithful communicant of Our Lady of Grace Church and a volunteer for various church functions. She enjoyed singing and listening to a wide variety of music, refinishing furniture, baking and cooking dinners for gatherings of family and friends. She took great pride in her children and grandchildren, being one of 10 children herself. Isabelle and husband Orlando traveled to many events associated with veterans of foreign wars. Orlando passed away in 1994. She was also predeceased by her daughter Linda Wroblewski and siblings Nicholas, Peter, Mario, Henry, Robert, and Alfred Pandori. Isabelle enjoyed her gardens, which were lovingly maintained by her brother Arthur, and took great pride in her home. She was an avid collector of angels. The family wishes to thank the supportive staff and doctors and nurses at Saratoga Hospital for the wonderful care given to their mother. Survivors include her children: sons Raymond (Margaret) Lupe, Michael Lupe, Douglas (Oksana) Lupe and Arthur (Brenda) Lupe; her daughter, Patricia (Michael) Priest, her beloved brothers, Arthur Pandori and Donald (Susan Guest) Pandori and loving sister, Olga Royse (husband David) and son-in-law Marshall Wroblewski, three cherished grandchildren: Darlene (Andrew) Poirier, Douglas (Danielle Selby) Priest and Brendyn Lupe, and a great granddaughter, Eveleen Poirier. Isabelle is survived by numerous nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday October 19th at 10:00 AM at Our Lady of Grace Church, 73 Midline Rd. (Route 146A) Ballston Lake with Rev. Jack Varno officiating. Interment will follow at St. Anthony's Cemetery in Glenville. Calling hours will be Friday (Oct. 18) at the GLENVILLE FUNERAL HOME, 9 GLENRIDGE RD. from 5 PM to 8 PM. It has been suggested contributions be made in Isabelle's name to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society arm of the American Cancer Society.
