Obituary of Anita Seaman

Anita Seaman, 61, passed peacefully surrounded by her loving family on October 24, 2022. Born in Paterson, New Jersey to her late parents John and Elsie (Schifke) Tschischik. Raised in Wayne, NJ, she graduated from Wayne Hills High School in 1979, and continued her education at Berkley Hills Secretary School.

In her early 20s, Anita met her husband, Russell Seaman Jr.  They were married on May 18, 1986 in New Jersey. In the late 80s, they moved to Ft. Lauderdale, Florida where they planted their roots and began their family. In 1993, they welcomed their first daughter, Cynthia, and two years later their youngest daughter, Kirstin.

Anita began her 30 plus year career with State Farm Insurance while living in Florida. In 2006, she accepted a new opportunity in the Malta, NY branch office, the Seaman family relocated to Scotia, NY. She was a dedicated worker and balanced work and family life graciously. She retired in 2021.

She was a devoted parishioner of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Glenville, her faith was an important part of her life. She loved music by Queen and David Cassidy, so much so that she was in a David Cassidy fan club. For many years, she travelled to Florida to visit family. Her most memorable trip, however, was with her daughter, Cyndi, in Nashville, TN,

At home, Anita enjoyed cooking and making her signature soups, a fan-favorite was Anita’s taco soup! She made many authentic German dishes, many recipes that were passed down from her family in Germany. Anita’s home was open to all, especially her daughter’s friends, who always knew a delicious meal and care would be provided by Anita, she was a Mom figure to all.

Anita will be remembered for her big heart and sarcastic personality. She was an animal lover, and lovingly known as a Cat Lady. She will be missed by her fur babies, Bob, Loki, Bonnie, Kimber and Minnie. Anita’s love for her daughters transcended above all else, her favorite role in life was being their Mother.

To continue Anita’s memory are her cherished daughters, Cynthia and Kirstin Seaman; brothers, John (Kathy) Tschischik and Herbert (Nancy) Tschischik; loving sister-in-law, Donna (Peter) Acca; nieces, Amanda Mileo and Gillian Payne. In 2014, she was predeceased by her loving husband, Russell.
