Obituary of Betty E. Lyons

Glenville- Betty E. Lyons, 97 of Glenville passed away peacefully Sunday, October 30, 2022, at Glendale Nursing Home where she had been a resident.

Born on March 23, 1925, in Buffalo.

Betty was a graduate of Kensington High School and the Burroughs Adding Machine School. After graduating from Burroughs, she worked as a teacher at the school. During her time at Burroughs, she was selected to work with one of the first computers in the state of New York. 

Betty was predeceased by her parents, John and Lena; beloved husband, William; her daughter, Laura; her brother, Alan and sister, Audrey. 

She is survived by her sons, David (Mary) and Robert both of Buffalo, NY; Pamela of Watervliet and Kathleen (Derek) of Clifton Park; grandchildren, Jeffrey, Sean, Lindsay, Marissa , Rhianna and Melayna and great grandchildren, Easton & Wyatt. 

Services will be private and at the convenience of the family. 

Betty’s family would like to extend their sincerest appreciation to the staff at the Glendale Nursing Home for all the love and care that was given to Betty during her time.
