Obituary of Lisa Gatta

Lisa A.Gatta, 58, of Scotia, passed away peacefully on November 19, 2022 at Albany Medical Center Hospital.  She was surrounded by her beloved family.  Born on December 22, 1963 in Albany, NY to the late Albert and Florence (Benson) Como, she was a 1982 graduate of Berne Knox-Westerlo High School. She began a secretarial career for Kerzon Architectural Firm in Albany where she was manager. She met her husband while working as an office manager at Sports Therapy (Albany). Lisa and Joseph M. Gatta were united in marriage on August 5, 1995. The couple moved to Scotia in October 1996, and lovingly raised their daughter, Victoria Gatta.

Lisa had worked for CDPHP, TRUSTCO and lastly as a bank teller at 1st National Bank of Scotia for seven years.

She had a passion for River's Casino gaming, traveling and family gatherings.  She was known as the "fun aunt".

Lisa was predeceased by two brothers, Edward and David Como and her sister-in-law, Regina Barnes.

Survivors include her husband Joe Gatta and daughter Victoria Gatta. Others left to cherish her memory are her in-laws: Carmen and Jeanne Gatta, Marlene Gatta, Stanley Gatta and Mary (Rick) Metzger. Lisa leaves behind a brother, Alan and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Monday (Nov. 28) at 1 PM in Glenville Funeral Home, 9 Glenridge Rd. Scotia-Glenville.  Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend and may also call from 11AM to 1 PM prior to the service.  Interment will follow at Park Cemetery, Scotia.
