Obituary of Donna Marie Miglucci

Donna Marie Miglucci, 76, of Guilderland passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 28, 2022, with her beloved husband Tony by her side at Our Lady of Mercy in Guilderland.

Born Donna Marie Cassidy on December 22, 1946 in Schenectady, NY, to Eleanor Marsha (Symeon) Cassidy and Donald Thomas Cassidy. She was a 1966 graduate of Linton High School of Schenectady, NY. Donna started her professional career as a secretary for General Electric before raising her children with her husband Tony. While caring for her family Donna worked part time in data entry and as a secretary for different companies. Once her children were old enough Donna entered the workforce again full time as a secretary for Craneville Elementary School in Dalton, MA which she enjoyed for 12 years.

Donna was a wonderful homemaker to her family. She enjoyed gardening, ceramics, dancing, and attending craft fairs. She was a longtime devoted member of St. Madeline Sophie Church in Guilderland. Donna’s fondest memories were created on family camping trips including several visits to Selkirk Shores. Donna’s greatest passion was traveling; she enjoyed many bus trips, cruises, and memorable vacations including, Paris, Hawaii and San Francisco. But what she truly treasured were her yearly trips to the ocean with family, her favorite places were Myrtle Beach, Cape Cod, and Ocean City, Maryland.  Donna’s biggest love was her family, they brought her so much pride, she also opened room in her huge heart to love animals, especially cats.

Donna is survived by her treasured husband of 54 years, Anthony Miglucci, her devoted children Danielle Miglucci, Corey (Deserae), and Nathan (Sherrie) Miglucci, sister Denise (George) York, and her cherished grandchildren Bailey, Kaitlyn Addy, and Olivia Addy.  She is also survived by nieces Amanda (Jason) Johnston, Elizabeth (Michael) Mullins, nephew Shaun (Catie) York as well as many cousins and dear friends.

Calling hours will be held at the Glenville Funeral Home, 9 Glenridge Rd. on Monday, January 2nd from 5 to 7 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St Madeleine Sophie Church in Guilderland on Tuesday, January 3rd at 10 AM. Entombment will follow at Most Holy Redeemer Cemetery.
