My sympathy goes out to the family. I worked with Glenn at W.T. Grant's in Amsterdam, until it closed. He was an excellant boss and I concidered him a friend as well. I was saddened by his passing.

Thinking of you Blanche and family, wishing you moments of peace and comfort. Glenn hired me for my first full time job at Floquil Polly S Color Corporation back in 1978. He made me feel very welcomed, and throughout the next 20+ years, his door was always open to resolve an issue, or to just chat ! He was a mentor to most, and under his watch, we all felt like one big family there at Mohawk. I will cherish those days, and I feel privileged to have known him all of these years. I will also miss his yearly Christmas cards, where he was always interested in what was going on in my life, and he always asked about the family. Glenn, you will be missed. Rest in Peace.

I was saddened to learn of Glenn’s passing. Glenn was always welcoming to me when I joined Mohawk after being with Star. It was not hard to see that he was loved by many who worked for him because of his sometimes tough but always generous nature. Our prayers and thoughts are with his family.

I am so very sorry to hear of Uncle Glenn's passing. We spent a lot of time at the Hornberger's when we were kids in Mass. and Conn. I have lots of memories of those visits. I don't have a lot of digital photos from then, but here is one of a very young Blanche and Glenn with Sabrina, Kelly and Stacy as very little kids.
Hard to find words, but as is said: May his memory be a blessing.

My thoughts and prayers go to Blanche and the family. Glenn was a mentor to most of us who worked at Mohawk. His giving spirit was never advertised but many of us benefited from it. I will remember him always with love and a special spot in my heart. RIP Glenn. You will be missed.

How could I forget Mr. Hornberger! I know he liked me, even though he was not always happy when I came to pick Cindy up back in the 80’s, wearing a jean jacket that probably hid a small bottle of vodka (to match hers, by the way) for a night out in Saratoga. There was never a lecture, but always a look. Was it fear? Love? RIP Mr. Hornberger. Thanks for being just one of the “dads” out there who helped keep me on a straight path. ❤️

RIP BOSS
Other than my family, no one has been more influential in my life. The skills I was able to use in my career can be tied to Glenn’s mentoring. He taught me key behaviors for dealing with challenges and for dealing with the people who would help achieve success.
I have a million memories from the almost 20 years that I worked for him, especially our travel together.
Ruth and I extend our deepest sympathies to the very special Hornberger family.
With love,
Scott and Ruth Ayers
