Obituary of Sean P. Wilk

Sean Wilk, 41, passed peacefully at Ellis Hospital on February 15, 2023, after a long illness. Born January 5, 1982 in Schenectady, NY to Paul and Beth (Bailey) Wilk. He attended Schenectady High School and planted his roots in the Scotia-Glenville area.

Sean will be remembered as a friendly, familiar face at Lowes, Hewitts and Glendale Nursing Home, where he worked for many years. In his spare time, Sean enjoyed hiking in the Sanders Preserve and playing online games and board games. He was very interested in science and nature. He sometimes enjoyed sitting quietly outdoors in the middle of night surrounded by deer, raccoons, and other friendly animals.

Sean was predeceased by his father, Paul. He is survived by his loving mother Elizabeth “Beth” Chalek, step-father, Carl Chalek; and cherished sister, Rebecca Wilk.
