We were greatly saddened to hear of Jimmy's passing. We often would stop at the Cafe after riding our horses for lunch or supper and felt right at home. We were especially pleased that he made an effort to stop at every table, shake hands, and ask "How are you?" which told us he really cared about his customers. I will miss shaking hands with him in Price Chopper as he goes about his shopping for the Cafe. He was a kind and generous soul who will be greatly missed.

I am so deeply sorry for your loss. Jimmy was a fine man who showed genuine compassion and caring for the many who knew him. During my own difficult times whenever he would see me, whether at the cafe or grocery, he never failed to ask each time about me or the family member who was ill. When I thought of his many customers to have him remember me and my problems took a man who had a God given talent. May our good Lord watch over you during the many difficult days, weeks and months ahead.

Saturday mornings will not be the same without Jimmy's head sticking out from the kitchen to say hi and ask how everything was! The cafe is like a second home to many of us in the community, and Jimmy has been part of the foundation. His absence will be noticed and his contributions remembered. Our most sincere sympathies go out to his family and staff.

It's hard to find words that do him justice. I feel as if you wanted to know what a real genuine, caring, loving, hard working, family man looks like, I would point to you JIMMY. As you go through life you come across alot of people, but very few leave the impression you left on mine. I will forever be greatful to the man that took Bonnie (my wife) under his wing as if it were one of his own daughters. Forever greatful. He was always willing to lend a hand to anyone who worked for him or anyone who asked. He was truly a class act. I feel very fortunate to have known him for as long as I did. If only the world had more Jimmys, it would truly be a better place. RIP Jimmy! Your all in my thoughts and prayers.

So sorry to hear about Jimmy. Will always remember him giving free ice cream to the kids. We are living in Australia now and Jimmy and the Cafe are things on our "miss" list. PLEASE keep the memories alive and keep the cafe open in memory of Jim. Our thoughts are with the "gang" at the Burnt Hills Cafe.

Anna, Diana, Alex- I don't even know what to say to you. You know how much Jimmy meant to me and now even my family. He was like a father to me and sadly I probably took his advise more then my own fathers as a teenager. I was always honored that people thought I was one of "his girls". I wear my Greek necklace every day and will continue as I remember the family and the man that mean so much to me. I love you all!
