Obituary of Ava Olivia Maddalone

Ava Olivia Maddalone, 50, passed away peacefully at St. Peters Hospital on February 14, 2023 after a long illness. Born in Schenectady she was the daughter of Diana (Howland) Maddalone and the late Frank Maddalone. Ava was a graduate of Burnt Hills Ballston Lake High School. She had a passion for music, especially playing the guitar and singing. Ava will be remembered for her quick wit and infectious laugh.
Left to honor Ava is her mother, Diana Maddalone, sisters Bonnie Maddalone (Keith) and Jill Maddalone. Her nephew Benjamin Nelson along with many friends also survive.
Her family would like to thank the staff of Fresenius Kidney Care Dialysis Center in Niskayuna for all the care she has received the last several years. Ava affectionately referred to the staff and other patients as her second family.
A celebration of Ava’s life will be held in the spring.
