Nicholas Gallo

Obituary of Nicholas A. Gallo

Nicholas "Nick" A. Gallo, 31, a brilliant and fun man with his life ahead of him, was taken too soon on February 22, 2023.

He was born on September 30, 1991, to his loving parents, Tony and Patricia (Brickwedel) Gallo. From an early age, Nick was known as a "sports guy"; he especially loved football, which he played from Pop Warner to college. Raised in upstate New York, he was the ultimate Green Bay Packers fan, so much so that he turned his family into Cheese Heads. Nick was also an avid golfer; when it came to baseball, it was the New York Yankees.

A 2010 graduate of Ballston Spa High School, where he excelled in academics and sports, it was also where he met the love of his life, the former Jenna M. Bodisch.

Jenna and Nick were high school sweethearts, first meeting when Nick was only 15. Nick must have known it was fate when he found out that Jenna was also a Packers fan. They had shared passions for music, family, good food, and above all, each other. On January 30, 2021, the couple was married. Nick later fell in love with Vince [Lombardi] Gallo, their large labradoodle dog.

After high school, Nick earned his Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from R.P.I and earned the Rensselaer Medal Award for academics. During this time, Nick played college football and was a fraternity member of Theta Chi. He was an accomplished graduate who received an internship opportunity with Global Foundries in 2013. After his internship, Nick began a 10-year career with Global Foundries as a Mechanical Engineer. He will forever be remembered for his efficiency, organization, logic, and analytical mind.

Besides his logical brain, he had a big personality! He was clever and funny, with a precise fashion sense; there was also his brutal honesty and appreciation for the show The Sopranos— to name only a few great quirks that are notoriously Nick Gallo. As a big guy, he had a tough exterior but a heart full of gold. Nick brought a calming and grounding presence to his wife, family and friends. He was loved by so many, and the way he loved his family with his compassionate kindness and selflessness, especially his siblings, nieces, and nephews, will forever be remembered.

Nick was a connoisseur of chicken parmesan (especially his Mom’s), different olive oils, and his espresso machine. On Sundays even if the Packers weren’t playing, you could find Nick on the couch watching football all day. When Nick wasn’t watching sports, you'd find him with his wife, family, and friends, ending the night with a good movie.

To continue his memory, is his loving wife, Jenna M. Gallo; parents, Tony and Patricia Gallo; siblings, Ashley Gallo (Joey Boyd), Geena Gallo, Paige Gallo, and Mark Gallo; grandmother, Cynthia Notaro; sister-in-law, Marissa (Eric) Townsend; cherished nieces and nephews, Jack and Juliana Townsend and Lucas Boyd. Nick is survived by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends.
