Obituary of Anne Kathryn Larrabee

Anne K. Larrabee, 76, passed away peacefully on March 13, 2023 at her home surrounded by the love of her family. Born in Troy, NY she was the daughter of the late Melvin and Margaret (Saunders) Moses. Anne was a graduate of Linton High School. She was a longtime caregiver and activity director at the Scotia Mansion. Anne was a dedicated member of the Ladies Auxiliary at the Beukendaal Volunteer Fire Department. She was a very creative woman, loving to sew, craft and play piano.  Above all, she was an amazing mother and grandmother. Anne’s home was always a safe haven for all. She will fondly be remembered for her big heart and honesty. Anne will be missed by all that knew her.

Anne is survived by her children James Larrabee, Scott Howard, Teresa Howard, Alicia Gordon, Glenn Larrabee (Sue), April Larrabee (Casey Smith) and Mark Larrabee (Erica). Her grandchildren Brandin Bartholf, Elizabeth Pierce, Alyssa Larrabee, Cary Larrabee, Paul Larrabee, Michael Hulis, Velli Larrabee and Ryker Larrabee. Her great-grandchildren Sadie Bartholf and Silas Bartholf along with sisters Joyce Canton (Danny), Christine Rogowicz (Chet), Dr. Johanna Moses (Dr. Robert Wansor) and several nieces and nephews also survive.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her brother Bobby Moses and her special aunt Rosie Justice.

A Mass of Christian burial for Anne will be celebrated on Monday, March 20, 2023 at 11am at St. Joseph’s Church, 231 2nd Street, Scotia. Relatives and friends may call at the church prior to the Mass from 10-11am. Entombment will follow at St. Anthony’s Cemetery, Glenville.

Memorial donations in Anne’s name may be made to the Beukendaal Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary, 501 Sacandaga Road, Scotia, NY 12302.
