Obituary of Marc Pickett

Marc R. Pickett SchenectadyMarc R. Pickett, 59, of Schenectady passed away suddenly at his home October 29, 2013. Born in Schenectady and a lifelong resident, he was the son of the late Carl H. Picket Sr. and Mary Armstrong Pickett. Marc attended Mont Pleasant High School before pursuing a career in the railroad industry. Marc worked as a conductor for Conrail in Selkirk for 20 years. An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was fond of sailing his boat on Galway Lake. Survivors include his daughters, Meghann Pickett and Christin Harrison, both of Schenectady; his brothers, Claude Pickett Sr. of Altamont, Carl Pickett Jr. of Charlton; and his sister, Tracy Lee of Galway. Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, November 7 at Galway Village Cemetery, Galway Village. Relatives and friends are invited.
