Jordan Willwerth

Obituary of Jordan H. Willwerth

Dateline: Burnt Hills

Jordan H. Willwerth, 38, passed away peacefully at his parent's home on May 1, 2023. Born in Niskayuna, he was the cherished son of Jennifer (Steggert) and Michael Willwerth. Jordan graduated from Burnt Hills - Ballston Lake High School in 2003 and went on to continue his education at Schenectady County Community College. Since he was a child, Jordan worked and learned from his father at Bruder Contracting. Eventually, Jordan would go off on his own and start Jordan H. Willwerth Historic Restoration. He was passionate about everything he did, and his carpentry work showed that. Over the years he had also worked in various restaurants as a chef and at the Glenville Funeral Home, where he helped bring comfort to those in their darkest days. His larger-than-life personality was captivating and it was impossible not to feel his presence. Jordan was an avid music lover and was born playing the drums. He inherited his Grandma Flo’s “green thumb” and was an amazing and artistic gardener. He also followed his dad’s love (hate) of the New York Mets and New York Jets. For anyone who knew Jordan also knew that he had many struggles over the years. He was incredibly grateful for all those who were there for him during his darkest times and his brightest times. Jordan’s energetic and intense spirit will always remain with us all.

Left to honor his memory are his parents Jennifer (Steggert) and Michael Willwerth, his sister Kate Willwerth, his niece Vivian Burns and his nephew Tyson Burns. He was also “Godfather Uncle Jordie” to Alex, Andrew, Amelia and New York Nick. Jordan is also survived by his extremely large extended family including aunts, uncles, cousins and friends, along with his feline companions Zyra and Mr. Cheeks.

Jordan has lovingly been reconnected with grandmothers Joan Steggert, Constance Willwerth and Leona Fleig and his canine companions Capone and Kylie.
