Carol Moran, 81, of Cambridge Manor, Scotia, died Thursday evening after a long illness at the Joan Nicole Prince Home. Born in Dedham, Massachusetts in 1932, she lived and worked in Denver for many years as a courtroom clerk. An avid bridge player, a tennis lover, a doting soccer grandma, and grateful member of the Scotia-Glenville Senior Center, she was much beloved. Carol is survived by her two sisters Anne Burns and Frances Britton of Massachusetts and was predeceased by her brother Paul Chamberlain; by her children Chris Moran and husband Paul Gordon, Martin Moran and partner Henry Stram, Carolyn Moran and grandchildren Elliott and Gramm Gordon, and Country and Carina Moran. Her youngest son, David F. Moran died in 2009. There will be a gathering at Glenville Funeral Home Sunday January 5th from 1:00 to 3:00pm. It was Carol's wish that any donations in her memory be made to the extraordinary Joan Nicole Prince Home, 22 Glenview Dr. Scotia, New York 12302.
