Obituary of Duane Wetmore

Duane P. Wetmore, 72, of Rexford, died January 12, 2014 at Ellis Hospital. Born in Proctor, VT on May 17, 1941 he was the son of the late Paul B. and Viola May Walker Wetmore. Duane married Kathleen Lighthall on July 30, 1989. Duane was an avid reader of WWII history, and enjoyed traveling. He was the owner of many businesses throughout his life including Duane Company Transport in Rexford. Mr. Wetmore served overseas in Berlin with the U.S. Army from '59-'62. Survivors include his beloved wife of 24 years, Kathleen Wetmore of Rexford, his sons, Paul (Melanie) Wetmore of Tampa, FL and Stephen(Colleen) Wetmore of Grants Pass, OR, and a daughter, Sharon (Paul) Rosati of Rochester, NY. Stepchildren Randy (Patricia) Paquin of Rexford, James (Shawn) Paquin of Ballston Spa, and Aimee (Douglas) Azaert of Warrensburg. Grandchildren, Patrick, Jayna and Caitlyn and step grandchildren Zachary, Nathan, Brent & Weston. Duane was predeceased by his sister Bonita (Bonnie) Frank of Brooklyn Memorial Services with be held graveside in the spring. Military honors followed by inurnment will be held at the Gerald B.H. Solomon National Veteran's Cemetery in Schuylerville, NY.
