Obituary of Bridget Conduzio

Bridget Conduzio passed away on February 20, 2014. Born in Mechanicville NY she was one of eight children born to John and Carmela Amodeo. Bridget was educated through the Mechanicville public school system and was a member of the Junior Dante's and worked as a dressmaker and designer prior to her marriage to Arthur Conduzio, who preceded her in death in 2006. They were married for 60 years. While raising her family, she was an active member of Saint Luke's Church in Schenectady, NY. Bridget was a communicant at Immaculate Conception Church in Glenville NY after she moved to Ballston Lake. Bridget was an active member in her church and community. She was a past President of the Immaculate Conception Rosary Society as well as a past President of the St. Luke's Rosary Society. Bridget was also a past President of the Bishop Gibbons and Saint Luke's School Mother's Clubs and a Girl Scout and Brownie Leader. She was a member of the Mechanicville Senior Citizens Club and served on the travel planning and luncheon committee for her local senior citizens club. Bridget was also a past member of the Ladies Auxiliary to the Veterans of Foreign Wars. She volunteered her time to assist with the planning of the monthly art exhibits at the local library and also helped with the Ballston Lake Theater Company. She was able to put her dressmaking skills to good use later on in her life designing and sewing holiday costumes and clothing for her grandchildren. She also enjoyed crocheting and every member of her family has a treasured afghan created by her. Bridget was a committee woman for her political party and served as an election inspector for the Town of Ballston for over a decade. She was involved in numerous campaigns, and was a town planner and organizer for the annual Saratoga County Lincoln's Day Dinner. Bridget loved singing; dancing, watching musicals, cooking and having dinner parties with family and friends who thought her Italian cooking and homemade desserts could rival any top chef. She loved to travel and she was fluent in the Italian language. Her family was her world and she loved them more than anything and she would do anything for any one of them. She was a nice lady. Bridget was a great lady with an inner strength most could only wish for. She was a wonderful wife , was a terrific mother and the best grandma any child could have. Bridget was beautiful inside and out with her gorgeous platinum blonde hair, beautiful big green eyes, signature long red nails and heart of gold. She set the bar high for love and loyalty. We miss her, we love her and will always carry her in our hearts where we will cherish and celebrate her life. Survivors include her Daughter Joanne Hull (Dennis) of Ballston Lake and her Son Arthur Conduzio (Eileen) of Lake George. Bridget is also survived by her grandchildren Mindy Hull and her husband Marc Richute, Dennis Arthur Hull, Kurt Conduzio (Lisa) and Eric Conduzio, and two great grandchildren Sarah and Michael Conduzio. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated today, Friday February 21, 2014 at 10 a.m. at the Church of the Immaculate Conception, 400 Saratoga Rd., East Glenville. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to the funeral Mass. A procession will follow to the Gerald B.H. Solomon National Cemetery.
