Obituary of Salvatore Page

Salvatore Lewis Page, 83, passed away suddenly on Sunday, February 23rd, 2014 after a long battle with mesothelioma. Born in Schenectady, on August 20, 1930, to the late Sullivan and Anna (DeSantis) Page, he was a 1948 graduate of Mont Pleasant High School. Salvatore worked as a carpenter and millwright, and was a proud member of the Carpenters Union - Local 370, located in Albany, NY. He also thrived as a boilermaker for West Milton later in his life. Salvatore was a very skilled craftsman who took great pride in his work. His hobbies of hunting and fishing stemmed from his love of the outdoors, especially the Adirondacks. Though, while he wasn't busy outside, one could always find him entertaining anyone with a great joke. He was a true gentleman and his sweet and generous personality will be dearly missed by his wife of 31 years, Patricia Dean Page; his daughter Tami Dedrick (Scott Luckey) of Rotterdam; step daughter Lauren Dean of Scotia; grandchildren Erica Marie Dedrick of Loudonville and Heather Marie Dedrick of Rotterdam; as well as his great grandchildren Stephen and Evan Bryson of Loudonville; and his sister Dolores Page of Rotterdam. Family and friends are invited, and may call on, Thursday, February 27th, 2014 from 4:30-7:30 p.m. at Glenville Funeral Home, 9 Glenridge Road, East Glenville. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Lung Association, 155 Washington Ave, Albany, NY 12210. Online condolences may be made at www.glenvillefuneralhome.com
