Obituary of Ann-Louise Pedone

Ann-Louise Pedone, 80, of Van Curler Ave. died peacefully on Tuesday at home surrounded by the love of her family. Born in Schenectady, Ann-Louise was the daughter of the late Stephen and Anna (Napoletan) Caruso and was a lifelong area resident. She worked in the drafting department at General Electric, Co. in the 1950's and in her family's business, the Napoletan Florist and Greenhouse. After her marriage in 1958, she transitioned into a talented and gracious homemaker known for her excellent cooking, baking and superb hospitality. She was a member of the Sons of Italy and St. John the Evangelist Church Choir. She was a communicant of St. John the Evangelist Church. Ann-Louise had a zeal for life and enjoyed sewing, traveling, winters in Florida, and most of all, spending time with her beloved family and friends. Survivors include her husband of 56 years, Richard Pedone, a son, Richard Pedone Jr. and wife Melissa of Guilderland, and a daughter, Jean Marie Collins and husband Jonathan from Rhinebeck, New York, a brother, Carmen S. Caruso of Schenectady, and a sister, Susan J. Miller of St. Augustine, Florida. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, March 8th at 10:00 AM at St. John the Evangelist Church, 806 Union Street Schenectady. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend and may also call Friday, March 7th from 4:00pm to 8:00pm, at the Glenville Funeral Home, 9 Glenridge Rd., East Glenville. Interment will be at Most Holy Redeemer Cemetery, Niskayuna. The family would like to thank The Community Hospice of Schenectady for their compassion, unwavering support and kindness.
