Obituary of Carrie Parker

Carrie Elizabeth Parker, 77, passed away peacefully at home on March 7,2014 surround by her family. Born in Schenectady on February 5, 1937, she was the daughter of the late George and Angelina (Raphael) Bright. Carrie was a lifelong area resident and took great pride in being a homemaker. She loved to sew and cook for her family. As a dedicated mother, you could always find her cheering on her children at their sports games. Carrie enjoyed camping with her beloved, late husband Albert, as well as taking leisurely drives around town. She had a deep love for her faith and was a communicant of the Church of the Immaculate Conception. Carrie truly embraced life and everything it had to offer. Carrie is survived by her children Burt J. (Maryann) Parker, Andrew G. (Gina) Parker, Wendy L. (Gregory) Cook; as well as her grandchildren David Parker, Kathryn (Andre) Chirol , Erich Hofheinz, Kayla Hofheinz, Kristen Parker, Courtney Parker, Joshua Parker; and her great- grandchild Sofi Parker. She is also survived by her brother Sammy Bright and sister Geraldine Boisseau; and was predeceased by her brother George Bright, her sister Lillian D'Onofrio and her loving husband Albert Parker. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, March 13th at 10:00am at the Church of the Immaculate Conception, 400 Saratoga Rd. Glenville, NY 12302. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend and may also call Wednesday, March 12th from 6:00pm to 8:00pm, at the Glenville Funeral Home, 9 Glenridge Rd., East Glenville. Interment will be at Park View Cemetery, Schenectady.
