Obituary of Mary Ellen O'Neil

Mary Ellen O'Neil ScotiaMary Ellen O'Neil, 82, of Mohawk Avenue, passed away peacefully at her home March 22, 2014. Born in Massena, NY, she was the daughter of the late Stephen and Ellen M. McKenna Novak. Mary Ellen in her early years was a teacher at Shenendehowa Central School. Survivors include her children, Kathleen O'Neil of Batavia, Patrick (Lisa) O'Neil of Dallas, TX, Michael (Madonna Katsares) O'Neil of Scotia, and Maureen O'Neil of Burnt Hills. Also surviving are her beloved grandchildren, Kason (Jennifer), Marcy (Justin), Keri (Nicholas), Alex and Tadd (Ashley); and great-grandchild, Zaylen; her siblings, Alson (Cherrie) Novak and Peter (Judy) Novak, Carolyn Buttenschon and Martha Fletcher; sister-in-law, Arlene Novak. She was predeceased by her brothers, Thomas and Edward Novak. A private memorial service will be held Tuesday, April 1st at 1 p.m. at Glenville Funeral Home, 9 Glenridge Rd., Glenville, NY with Reverend John Hopkins officiating.
