Obituary of Lois Glover

Lois (Sjogren) Glover, 77, went to be with the lord on April 4, 2014 after a long battle with crippling osteoporosis. She was born on April 7, 1936, in Patterson, NJ to Eric and Elisabeth Sjogren. Lois graduated from Mount Pleasant High School in 1954 and went on to graduate from the Ellis Hospital School of Nursing. She later worked as a head nurse at Ellis Hospital, Glenridge Hospital and the Saratoga Nursing Home. Lois was a caring, loving woman who spent much of her energy serving others. Whether it was teaching Sunday School, providing hospitality, organizing meals, or singing in the church choir, she was always ready to lend a hand of support and encouragement. Her selfless service and devotion towards others will be greatly missed. Lois's husband Arnold precedes her by 5 days. Her loving words to him were, "Good-bye my love, we will meet again in the arms of Christ." Of this, we are certain. Lois is survived by her Son Richard (Bonnie) Glover and their four children; Daughter Linda (Doug) Williams and their six children; Brother Robert Sjogren; Brother-in-law Stanley (Nancy) Glover; and Sisters-in-law Lorraine (Ed) Bennett and Muriel Prchlik. Funeral Services will be held on Monday, April 7, 2014 at 4pm at Calvary Orthodox Presbyterian Church on 1230 Rugby Road Schenectady, NY. Calling hours will be held prior to the service from 2-4pm at Calvary Orthodox Church. Interment will take place on Tuesday, April 8, 2014 at 11am, at the Gerald B.H.
