Obituary of Douglas Culver

Douglas Paul Culver, 80, formerly of Ballston Spa, NY, husband of the late Patricia McCabe Culver, entered into eternal life on Friday, April 4, 2014 at Baptist Health Center, Scotia, New York. Born and educated in Schenectady, he was the son of the late Charles H. and Margaret (Staulters) Culver. In addition to his parents, Doug was predeceased by his siblings and spouses, Charles A. Virginia Belle, Thomas, Robert, Anton, aka "Mike" and Donald Culver, Elinore Fortulakis and Luetta (Alfonso) Santoro. Survivors include his daughter, Colleen Culver, Florida; sisters-in-law, Dora Culver, Rotterdam; MaryJane Culver, Schenectady; Anita Culver, Arizona; Ellen Jutton, Ballston Spa; brother-in-law, Allen McCabe, Hunt Lake; nieces and nephews, Marjorie (Fortulakis) MacDougal, Schenectady, Louis (Susan) Santoro, Florida; Thomas (Eileen) Santoro, Saratoga Springs; Fayetta (Stephen) Zemgulis, Glenville; Laura (Robert) Rivers, Georgia;Jill (Tim) Tietz, Rotterdam; Donald Culver, Arizona; Sharon (Eric) Schneider, Ballston Spa; Jeff (Marianne) Jutton, Clifton Park; Doug (Ann) Jutton, S. Carolina; Brian (Justine) Jutton, Ballston Spa and many great and grand nieces and nephews. Doug served his country during the Korean War in the army. He worked for GE until his retirement, after which he worked for The Gazette for several years. The family would like to thank Drs. Ritter and Ringler, Rev. Mark Chaffin, Denise Bailey, Kathy, Matt Wollcott, Kevin, Ramona, Rosalie, Theresa and all the friendly, helpful people at Baptist. Relatives and friends are welcome to join the family on May 21, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at Memory's Garden, 983 Watervliet Shaker Road, Albany NY.
