Obituary of Carolyn Hart

Carolyn J. Hart, 73, passed away April 12, 2014, at her home, in the loving presence of her family, following a short illness. Born in Amsterdam, NY she was the daughter of the late Kenneth D Hughes and Mabeth Patterson Dunphy. Carol was a sales associate for the Carl Company Store in Glenville for a number of years up until it closed. Her husband, Martin Hart, predeceased her in 1995. Carol and enjoyed the outdoors and took pleasure in floral gardening, Kayaking, Yoga and walking five miles every day. Her greatest joy was being surrounded by her family and friends. She traveled overseas to Europe and befriended many whom she met in her travels. Her favorite destination was Spain. Carol had an inner circle of friends which included a special group (Wine Girls)that met often for cheese and crackers and of course wine. She was predeceased by her brother, Johnny Dunphy. Survivors include two daughters, Sherry Reisigl (Larry,) of Ballston Spa and Rebecca Biscossi (Joseph), of Glenville; her brother, Kenneth Hughes (Lucille Hopeck) of Scotia; cherished grandchildren, Jason and Jennifer (fiancé Aaron Westover) Reisigl and Isabella, Mia and Hannah Biscossi. Carol leaves behind her beautiful great granddaughter MacKenzie Reisigl and by her companion of 18 wonderful years, Peter McNamara of Burnt Hills. A celebration of life service will be held on Wednesday, April 16 at 7 PM in the Glenville Funeral Home Chapel at 9 Glenridge Rd. with Jack E. Arnold officiating. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend and may call at the funeral home Wednesday prior form 4 -7 PM. Private burial at Memory's Garden.
