Obituary of Jean Johnson

Jean M. Johnson, 86, of Schaffer Heights, passed away peacefully at her home on April 13, 2014. Born in Nokomis, IL, she was the daughter of the late George and Elizabeth Harrison Fesser. Jean was a graduate of Nokomis High School's class of '44. She was formerly married to Delmar A.Johnson. In 1954, she moved to Horseheads, NY. She returned to Nokomis in 1973 where she remained until moving to Schenectady in 1990. Jean was active with the Annie Schaffer Senior Center, helping out with the Golden Cage Thrift Store and bingo. She moved into the Schaffer Heights Center when it was built, 17 years ago. Survivors include her two sons, Gregory Johnson and his wife Karen, of Alabaster, AL and Kent Johnson, of Alplaus, NY. Mrs. Johnson leaves behind her beloved sister, Jane Hartline and her husband Darrell, of Lockhaven, PA and five cherished grandchildren: Melony, Jason and Ryan Johnson and Bradley and Grace Johnson. A Celebration of Life service will be held 6 PM on Friday, April 18th at Glenville Funeral Home. 9 Glenridge Rd, Glenville with Jack E. Arnold officiating. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend and may call on the family at the funeral home prior from 5 to 6 pm. Contributions may be made in Jean M.
