Obituary of Lauraine Galluzzi

Lauraine D. (Albert) Galluzzi, 84, passed away on May 7, 2014, at her home in Charlton. Born in Salem, Massachusetts on April 1, 1930, she was the daughter of the late Patrick and Dorothy (Nixon) Albert. Lauraine was a 1945 graduate of Salem High School and married her husband, Paul on November 13, 1949. Lauraine was the first woman to work at the Stratton Air National Guard of Glenville, NY as a civilian secretary for 26 years. She was happiest when spending time with her family, especially when cooking for them. She also loved her garden and keeping up with politics and entertainment news. Lauraine was a trail blazing lover of fashion and was known for her keen wit. Lauraine was a faithful Catholic and was a member of the Church of the Immaculate Conception in Glenville. She adored her grandchildren and took great pride in their success. Survived by her husband, Paul J. Galluzzi; daughters, Paula (Mark) Supley of Glenville and Lisa (John) Baity of Bedford NH; and by her beloved grandchildren, Kyle Patrick Supley and Brianne Jean Baity. Additionally she is survived by her beloved feline companions, Bella and Sophia. Lauraine was predeceased by her sister, Constance Galvin; and her brothers, Roger and Donald Albert. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews. A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, May 12 at 9 a.m. at the Church of the Immaculate Conception, 400 Saratoga Rd., Glenville. Relatives and friends are welcomed to attend. Future burial will be in Salem, MA. In lieu of flowers please send donations to St. Jude or the Animal Protective Foundation of Scotia, NY.
