Obituary of Patricia Arket

Patricia A. Arket, 56, passed away suddenly on June 21, 2014. Born and raised in Schenectady, she was the daughter of Cyrilla and the late John Hamilton. Patricia was a dedicated Registered Nurse at St. Clare's Hospital in Schenectady, who, although she worked hard, truly knew how to make the most of her time off. She enjoyed sports immensely and whether it was the New York Giants on the field, her favorite Celtic's player Larry Bird, or her beloved children playing, you could always see her cheering proudly from the sidelines. Patricia loved relaxing by the ocean and indulging, from time to time, in her favorite guilty pleasures; lottery tickets and spice drops. Patricia's presence will be greatly missed by her survivors, including her mother Cyrilla Hamilton; her son Richard (Natalie) Arket; daughters Michelle (Burt) Weiss and Brenna Arket; grandchildren Mason and Kellen Arket; brother John (Jennifer) Hamilton; sisters Mary Hamilton and Barbara (Arthur) Stevens; several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends; and her beloved Border Collies Neo and Smith. Funeral services will be held Thursday June 26, 2014 at 9:00am from the Glenville Funeral Home, 9 Glenridge Rd. , Glenville. Interment will follow in St. Josephs Cemetery, Schenectady. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday, June 25 from 4-7pm.
