Obituary of Elaine Carbone

Elaine M. Carbone CharltonElaine M. Carbone, 74, of Redwood Dr., died peacefully June 19, 2014 surrounded by her family. Born in Pittsburgh, PA, she was the loving daughter of the late Howard and Lee (Dovey) Watt. Elaine graduated Albany Business College's Executive Secretarial Course with honors. She had lived in Ballston Lake for most of her life, raising her family. She was formerly married to Charles Carbone. Mrs. Carbone was business manager for Hick's Rubbish in Ballston Lake until the business sold in 1994. Elaine loved travel and often found herself at the shore observing hermit crabs and the ocean surf. Her favorite destination being Cape May, NJ. She RV'd the eastern seaboard and camped at various beach destinations with her family. Her hobbies included gardening and swimming. She leaves behind two sons, David and his wife, Elizabeth of Glens Falls and John H. Howie Carbone and his wife, Nicole A. Delcore of Sabael, NY; and a daughter, Lorrie Flower and her husband, Mark of Scotia. Elaine is survived also by step-grandchildren, Kristi, Amie and Brandon Flower; a great-granddaughter, Adriana, all of Scotia; and her significant other, John Berghammer of Charlton. A celebration of life service will be held Saturday, July 12 at 5 p.m. at the Glenville Funeral Home, 9 Glenridge Rd., Glenville. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend and may call prior at the Glenville Funeral Home before the service from 3 to 5 p.m.
