Obituary of Marjorie DiCarlo

Marjorie J. DiCarlo, 82 of Glenville passed away peacefully on November 18, 2012 at the Baptist Health and Rehabilitation Center in Scotia. Marjorie, the daughter of the late Victor and Emma Denton King, was born in Elizabethtown, NY on September 8, 1930. She was married to Albert DiCarlo on October 6, 1963, and has lived in Glenville for many years. Marjorie was a certified nurses assistant at the Maplewood Manor Nursing Home in Ballston Spa for many years, retiring in 1998. Her family was the center of her life and she adored her grandchildren to whom she spent many hours with. Marj loved animals, especially dogs and was a NASCAR racing enthusiast. He favorite being no. 43 Richard Petty! Her beloved Albert passed away on November 20th of last year. She missed him so much. Besides her husband, she was predeceased by her sister Veda Brown. Survivors include her four cherished daughters; Betty Cross (Bob Desautels) of Clifton Park, Barbara Hubert (Ralph) of Cohoes, Wendy Vaughters (Frank) of Glenville and Donna DiCarlo (Bob Rittel) of Schenectady; her sons, Wayne Cross of Charlotte, NC and Albert DiCarlo Jr. of Burnt Hills, NY. Marjorie leaves behind her sister, Cheryl Ferris of Glens Falls, her eleven grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, November 21, at 11 AM at the Glenville Funeral Home, 9 Glenridge Rd. Glenville. Calling hours will be Wednesday from 9:30AM to 11 AM. Interment will follow at Memory's Garden Cemetery.
