Obituary of John Motto

John James Motto, 47, passed away suddenly on Thursday July 17, 2014 at home after a long battle with Muscular Dystrophy. Born in the Bronx he was the son to John Joseph Motto and Patricia (Suppa) Motto. John graduated from Patchogue Medford High School in Long Island. Growing up he loved to ride his bike and draw. As he grew older, John enjoyed spending his time watching the History and Discovery Channels, and listening to all music, especially the Beatles. He also loved to play Xbox, though when he wasn't playing, you could find him reading books, most commonly mystery novels by Stephen King. John was a very meticulous person, which is one of the qualities his friends and family loved so much about him. His gentle spirit will be missed by his loving parents; his dear brother James John Motto and wife Suzanne; his nephews James John and Jack Edward Motto and his niece Julianna Alexis Motto. John is also survived by his beloved canine companion Beemer. Several cousins and friends survive as well The family would like to thank his homecare aids Michelle Young and Dorothy Caron for being so patient, caring and loyal and the unconditional love they had for John. Funeral services will begin Tuesday, July 22 at 11 a.m. at the Glenville Funeral Home, 9 Glenridge Rd., Glenville. A procession will follow to St. Mary's Church, Milton Ave., Ballston Spa, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 12pm. Entombment will be held privately at Most Holy Redeemer Cemetery, Niskayuna. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home prior to the service from 9a.m. to 11 a.m..
