Obituary of Raghad Schroeder

Raghad Marie Schroeder, passed away on August 28, 2014, surrounded by her loving family, at the age of 55. Born in Damascus, Syria, she came to the United States at the age of 10. She attended SUNY Buffalo and graduated with her degree in Occupational Therapy. She has since specialized in treating infants and children with feeding and sensory integration disorders. Raghad was a devoted mother, wife, daughter, sister, and friend. For the past eight years, she fought a valiant and heroic battle against colon cancer. She is predeceased by her father, Yacoub Dabbikeh. She is survived by her three children, residing in Charlton, Matthew Schroeder (Emily), Amanda Gannon (James), Katherine Schroeder and their father Bernie Schroeder residing in Gloversville. She is further survived by her mother, Ferouz Dabbikeh, brother Essa Dabbikeh (Diane), sister Wassileh Moore and many nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 am on Tuesday, September 2, 2014, from St. John the Evangelist Church, 806 Union Street Schenectady, NY. Relatives and friends are invited to call on the family at the Glenville Funeral Home, 9 Glenridge Rd., East Glenville from 4 to 8 pm on Monday September 1, 2014.
