Obituary of Patricia Ellis

Patricia E. Ellis 63, of Hill Street Alplaus, died Wednesday August 27th at the Ellis Hospital following a very brief battle with cancer. Pat was born October 25, 1950 in Schenectady, NY a daughter of John and Francis (Gathen) Sokal. She attended St. Luke's and later graduated from Mohonasen High School in 1968. She worked 44 years at Ellis Hospital as a Computer Systems Analyst retiring last year. Her hobbies included sewing, knitting, gardening and occasionally, fishing and vacationing on the coast of Maine. Survivors include her husband, Robert W. Ellis, whom she married September 27, 1985, her daughter Rebecca G. Sullivan, her son Jonathan H. Ellis, both of Alplaus and her step-son, Matthew R. Ellis of Burlington, VT, three grandsons; Christopher Sullivan, Matthew Tibby and Andrew Tibby, her brothers Paul Sokal of Vergennes, VT, Jeff Sokal of Burlington, VT, and Joseph Sokal of Schenectady, her sister Frances of Rhode Island, her niece Katrina Kass and nephew Kevin Sokal. A period of visitation will be held from 1-3 PM on Saturday September 6th at the Glenville Funeral Home, 9 Glenridge Road, Glenville. Burial will be private.
