Obituary of Norma Gadoua

Norma R. Gadoua, a longtime resident of Scotia, NY, passed away peacefully at her home on September 1, 2014. She was born on August 5, 1929 in Pawlet, VT., daughter of the late Ernest D. and Ruth Daniels Roberts. Norma graduated from Granville High School in Granville, NY and nursing school at Sacred Heart Hospital in Idaho Falls, Idaho. She worked several years at Glendale Nursing Home after her family returned to New York. She possessed a quiet strength, a sly sense of humor and was a devoted wife, mother, friend and volunteer. Throughout her life she was admired by those whose lives she touched. She was predeceased by her husband, Edward J. Gadoua Jr. and her siblings, Florence Mae Roberts and Ernest D. Roberts Jr. She is survived by her sons, Mark of Portland OR; Paul (Elizabeth) of Ballston Spa, NY and her daughters Gaylon Butler (Kelley) of Grapevine TX; Andrea Ulrich (Craig) of Summit, NJ. Four grandchildren; Caitlin, Kristin, David and Hayley, Great grandchild Kendra. Services will be private. Glenville Funeral Home of Scotia-Glenville has been entrusted to serve the Gadoua Family.
