Obituary of Mark Iovinelli

Mark L. Iovinelli, 61, of Ruhle Road passed away on September 15, 2014 with his loving family by his side. Born in Schenectady, he was raised in Scotia. He was the son of the late Edward and Norma Miller Iovinelli. Mark graduated Scotia-Glenville's class of 1971 and HVCC and received his bachelor's degree from the College of St. Rose in accounting. Mark worked as finance controller for McDonald's Corporation, DiCrescente Distributors and Crisafulli Plumbing. He married Teresa M. Van Alphen on March 24, 2000 at Glen Sander's in Scotia. Mark was proud of maintaining the appearance around his home and enjoyed gardening. He was an avid lover of animals. Mark was predeceased by his nephew, Jason Iovinelli in 1999. Survivors include his loving wife, Teresa Iovinelli of Malta; brothers, Edward (Linda) Iovinelli of Glenville, Paul (Linda) Iovinelli, all of Glenville and Bruce Iovinelli of Schenectady; his cherished nieces and nephews, Stacie Iovinelli (Joel Bianchi), Jeffrey (Jennifer) Iovinelli, Marion (Steven) Horan and Steven Iovinelli. Mark is survived also by several grandnieces and grand-nephews. A memorial service and celebration of Mark's life will be held on Friday, September 19, at 7 p.m. at the Glenville Funeral Home, 9 Glenridge Rd., Glenville. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend and may call prior from 5 to 7 p.m. Donations may be considered to ASPCA in memory of Mark L.
