Obituary of Luisa Buhrmaster

Louise was born in Rotterdam, NY , the daughter of the late Anthonio and Carolina Mastroianni. She was a graduate of Draper High School. Louise worked several years for General Electric. She met Donald Buhrmaster on a blind date and they were married in Schenectady on July 10, 1955. Donald was a second generation farmer with D.L. Buhrmaster Fruit and Produce in Glenville. Together they raised their family and worked the farm. For many years, Louise volunteered her time to several civic organizations and was very active in aerobics for over 35 years. Louise enjoyed cooking and entertaining as well as spending time with her family. She was a parishoner of St. Joseph's Church in Scotia. Donald and Louise enjoyed ballroom and square dancing as well as traveling abroad and spending winter months in warmer climates. Louise was predeceased by her husband Donald in 2008. She is survived by her devoted children: Keith (Lisa) Buhrmaster of Ballston Spa, Patricia Nally (Michael) of Glenville, and Susan Buhrmaster (Jacqueline Cincotta) of Crompond, NY; eight cherished grandchildren: James and Anna Buhrmaster; Luke, Caroline, David, Grace, Joseph (Mary), and Samuel Nally; two cherished great grandchildren: Caleb Desplanques and Kateri Louise Nally. A brother Steven Mastrean, sisters: Mafalda Reilly and Beverly Howard as well as nieces and nephews also survive. On Thursday November 13 at 9 am a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at the Church of the Immaculate Conception, 400 Saratoga Rd, Glenville. Interment will follow in Park Cemetery, Sacandaga Rd, Scotia. Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours at the Glenville Funeral Home, 9 Glenridge Rd. from 4 to 7 pm on Wednesday November 12.
